Humanities day celebrationStudents of year 5 introduced the topic of Ancient Greek Civilization through the welcome speech. The parents were given an opportunity to take part in various activities in this student-led event. The activities included Greek Olympic prop making, creating examples of Greek prefixes used in English language, Greek warfare craft making and also a word search which challenged the parents to identify various games of Olympics. The event was very engaging for students and parents. It concluded with an interactive quiz and padlet link feedback from parents.

48th UAE National Day CelebrationsOn Thursday 28th November 2019, the 48th National Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm by year 5 students and teachers. A wide range of activities involved students, parents, and staff across the school to learn more about the culture of the UAE and the different nationalities represented by our students. Children came dressed in their national costumes. Few key attractions were Majlis falcon show, henna painting, local coffee and sweets. A variety of programs such as the Emirati song and dance performances along with a lively band were organized in the Astroturf, which was enjoyed by the Winchester community. In the classes, students delivered speeches, created posters, wrote acrostic poems and created quizzes.
